The Kissing Disease or Epstein-Barr
Mononucleosis is a viral infection caused by the Epstein-Barr virus and is common in adolescents and young adults. Oftentimes, there are no symptoms, but others feel tired, feverish, have a sore throat, etc.
The Mononucleosis Test (Qualitative) will detect what’s called ‘heterophil antibodies’ in your blood (related to mono). Keep in mind, if you’ve had mononucleosis in the past, you will always test positive for it.
